L5: Tripartite Review 1 - Agenda (30 Minutes)

By Future Talent Learning

In advance of this meeting:

    • Share this agenda with your line manager
    • Draft at least one SMART target to review in the meeting. Upload as a ‘Note’ against the relevant Tripartite Review component in Aptem.
      • For example, if you are a bit behind, a SMART target might look like this:
        • I will aim to complete Mission 2 by the 1st of June. I will achieve this by agreeing with my line manager that I can dedicate 2 additional hours per week to learning which I’ll take on Friday mornings.
      • If you are on track, a SMART target might look like this:
        • I will aim to improve my delegation skills so that I can focus on more urgent activities. I will do this by reviewing the roles and responsibilities of my team and identify at least two tasks for delegation and have 121s with two team members to delegate these. I will do this by the 1st of June.
    • Re-score and upload your updated KSB Assessment Form against the relevant Tripartite Review component in Aptem.
      • Please note, many scores may not have changed, and for some, you might even score yourself lower than before, if you now have a clearer understanding of what’s involved in that topic.
    • Prep your Line Manager to come ready to provide Performance Testimony on any KSBs they might have observed you meeting so far.

1. Progress Check-in (5 mins)

    • Learner and coach to check and discuss overall progress based on:
      • RAG status, difference between completed and target hours
      • Completed active learning every month
      • Event attendance (there are multiple opportunities to attend each event).
    • Learner and coach to review progress on Functional Skills (if relevant) and/or to identify any additional learning (SEND) support the learner may need.

2. Prevent Check-in (5 mins)

    • Learner to explain what is meant by the Prevent agenda, how they might spot signs of radicalisation, and what actions they could potentially take if they were to have a concern. What specific Prevent issues could arise in your local area and/or your particular industry?

3. KSB Assessment Form Review and Performance Testimony (15 mins)

    • Learner to share their KSB Assessment Form and discuss any movement in the KSBs, paying particular attention to the 4 key behaviours: taking responsibility, being agile, acting professionally, and acting inclusively.
    • Line manager to review where they have observed the learner effectively demonstrating any skills and behaviours, highlighting areas of growth and identifying areas for future development.
      • Note: if the Line Manager provides useable Performance Testimony, learner to add a time-stamped link to this recording at the relevant place in their Portfolio Workbook.

4. SMART Plan and End Point Assessment Gateway Review (5 mins)

    • All to review if there are any missions the learner could start early or if there are any KSBs in upcoming missions the learner will need helping getting exposure to e.g., chairing a meeting, giving a presentation, managing a budget etc.
    • All to re-confirm the End Point Assessment Gateway Review date and check that the learner is on track to attend their meeting on the planned date.
    • All to review and agree the learner’s SMART plan to help the learner get to where they need to be before the next Tripartite Review.

5. And finally, please remember to:

    • Book your next Tripartite Review with your coach and line manager.
    • Share the next Tripartite Review agenda so that your line manager can help you to gather the evidence you need.
