‘Bringing your whole self to work’ has become a cliché, but what could that mean in practice, given that a huge proportion of our waking hours are spent working? Do we live to work or work to live?
Lucy explores the purpose of work and how the culture of our working environment can be developed to add not only value, but meaning to your team.
Lucy Winkett is Rector of St James’s Church Piccadilly, and a writer and broadcaster. With degrees in History, Theology, and as a trained soprano, she was one of the first generation of women to be ordained in the Church of England, working in Manor Park, Newham, before becoming the first woman priest appointed at St Paul’s Cathedral, and later becoming Canon Precentor.
Lucy is much in demand as a speaker on interfaith, gender and political issues, is a long-standing contributor to Radio 4’s Thought for the Day and is a regular guest on Radio 3. She was a founding advisor for the public theology think tank Theos, and the co-founder of Leading Women, a national development programme for women clergy.
